J.R. Smith – New York Knicks: Unrestricted Free Agent

HoopsHype has also reported that New York shooting guard J.R. Smith, is receiving interest from a few teams and Detroit is one of them. This rumor is a bit out there for a few reasons. One, Smith goes against all of what Dumars is trying to build this team with. Joe has been adamant about bringing in high character, hard working players, and Smith is neither of those. As much as there is a need for scoring wing players on this team, I do not think Smith is a good fit for Detroit.

Value: 3 years – $15 million
