Last night was definitely the worst loss of the season for this Detroit Pistons team. The Pistons fell to the Pacers 114-82. Nothing good came out of last night’s loss, even Greg Monroe, who is quite humble, was irritated at coach Lawrence Frank for only giving him 22 minutes of playing time. The Pistons look to bounce back tonight at the Palace.
The Pistons have been a better team at home all season long, they are 18-18 at the Palace compared to 7-19 on the road. The Pacers may be the hottest team in the NBA as of right now. Danny Granger is making his return tonight, that will be another tough task for the Pistons to handle. The Pistons were without Brandon Knight last night which means they had to start Rodney Stuckey at the SG, it looks like Knight will not play tonight as well. Look for the Pistons to try to score in transition tonight and try to slow down the Indiana Pacer from scoring 100+ points.
Do not expect the Pistons to get blown out by 30+ again tonight. This will be a more competitive game with it being in Detroit. Also do not expect to see the Pistons come out with another slow start, but you never know, the Pacers are the type of team that can run you out of the gym whenever they feel like. This more than likely will be between a 10-15 point game when it hits final. If the Pistons can slow down this Pacers offense and not let Danny Granger have a great return to the lineup, this will be an exciting game to watch. Detroit is currently 6 games back of the the Milwaukee Bucks for the 8th spot in the East. They look to move closer tonight.
