There’s no point guard on this roster.
Must. Fix.

The Elephant in the Room
I tweeted my predictions for the Eastern conference regular season back on Oct 24th here.
Just wanted to make that known considering the Cavs-Celtics and Wizards-Mavs are currenty playing as I type this.
I’ll lay out both conferences for you right here, sans analysis.
(I realize that without analysis it’s pretty boring to do this, however, it will make for an interesting post at the end of the year as I will either look pretty goofy or rather intelligent- I’d put money on the former)
EAST
1. Celts
2. Magic
3. Hawks
4. Cavs
5. Wizards
6. Bulls
7. Pistons
8. Raptors
WEST
1. Spurs
2. Lakers
3. Dallas
4. Portland
5. Denver
6. Hornets
7. Clips
8. Suns
I think both # 1 [...]
Most certainly the 14 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks from the not so over-the-hill looking Ben Wallace. I’m pleasantly surprised by Ben’s liveliness.
Big minutes (37:27) for Lindsey Hunter (no Rose, Pargo, Hinrich) but mixed production (0-6 fgs, 0 points, 5 assists, +11).
Off game for Dejuan Blair- 9 points (4-7), 6 boards, 3 steals in 15 minutes.
Roy Hibbert in 18 minutes scored 16, had 3 blocks and managed to foul out. Got his money’s worth I’ll say.
Spencer Hawes is a good shooter for a big. Not tonight though (0-6 fgs, 1-6 fts).
Baby steps: Only 1 foul for Amir Johnson in 12 minutes
The Nets aren’t going to [...]
Fantasyland Heyday Scenario
Here’s a scenario flooded with fantasy…
First the Detroit portion…
Picture Ben Wallace, in his heyday, on this current 09/10 Piston team.
Where would they stand compared to Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, LA, San Antonio? Tough to tell huh?
Championship contenders?
Probably not. There’s no Chauncey. Case of a rookie coach. No Larry Brown to ride herd on the players. Stuckey’s the starting point guard. No motivated Rasheed Wallace. Kwame Brown is logging probably too many meaningful minutes. No ball hawking pests like Lindsey Hunter and Mike James. None of that Big Nasty instant offense in the post. Rip’s time in Detroit is likely quickly dwindling (team chemistry?). [...]
Over at Detroit Bad Boys Kevin Sawyer reveals his NBA All Overrated Team. Let’s just say I disagree with quite a few of his selections, one of them being Kobe Bryant. Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony and Paul Pierce are also on Sawyer’s list (among others). Sawyer says he would rather have Tim Duncan than Kobe Bryant. What? Come again?
PistonsNation is becoming a little more receptive to having Big Ben in the D. And I admit, I am too. Remember my thoughts on Big Ben returning? Well, if you don’t, they’re here, here, and sort of here.
Packey at Motown String Music is trying to get [...]
What happened?
Well, just a few minutes ago during the Warriors-Lakers game, Shannon Brown happened.
Mad hops… er props to kPabz
While you may think you saw Shannon land on the court, he really didn’t.
He’s set to land in about 3 and a half hours.
Give him a hand, will ya?
This Really Shocked Me
In Wednesday’s Sixers-Raptors preseason tilt Amir Johnson fouled out in 25 minutes of action.
Bravo.
As I already stated, I’m really shocked right now.
If a single day contained 48 hours instead of 24 I might have time to write about some of these.
Who is everybody forgetting about?
Why is everybody forgetting about athletic juggernaut Chris Wilcox? He seems to be the forgotten man right now. The talk has been about Charlie, Ben, #6 Ben, the rooks, but where’s love for Wilcox? After all, he is better than Maxiell.
Who everybody should quickly forget about?
Chucky Atkins. It’s the economy’s fault he won’t make the team. Don’t get your hopes up like I am.
I will NOT be surprised if…
Summers thoroughly outperforms Daye and fans freak out about how Daye is already [...]
